David Raddi

Biografia

David Raddi nasce in provincia di Verona nel 1978, e fin da bambino è attratto dal mondo dell’arte, frequentando una pittrice,  scrittrice e musicista parente di famiglia, Zizi Morelato. Esperimenta fin dall’età di 13 anni la pittura, guardando i maestri dell’arte moderna, in particolare l’espressionismo astratto, il fauvismo, cubismo e simbolismo. Si diploma come geometra nel 2003 all’istituto per geometri Cangrande della Scala di Verona, lavora per un studio tecnico per 2 anni  e nel 2005 parte per l’Inghilterra , dove inizia un percorso accademico artistico. Diplomatosi in Art & Design nel 2007 a Suffolk College Ipswich (Diploma Foundation Art & Design Studies) si trasferisce a Cardiff dove si laurea nel 2010 (U.W.I.C. Art & Design BA(Honor) Ceramica, Università di Cardiff  in Galles, Inghilterra). Durante l’accademia frequenta come assistente lo studio  di Len Gifford a Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Inghilterra, avvicinandosi all’arte figurativa, dove esperimenta disegno dal vivo e la fabbricazione dei stampi in fibra di vetro della scultura originale,rifinitura, lucidatura e verniciatura.

Nell’estate del 2009 frequenta come assistente di laboratorio lo studio di Pino Castagna, Costermano del Garda (VR), avvicinandosi a nuovi materiali e tecniche, vedendo le realizzazioni di varie sculture di bronzo, marmo e terracotta.

E’ attivo anche alla Società britannica reale dei scultori di Londra collaborando all’allestimento  di First @108 Public Art Award 2013 Finalist exhibition con l’artista  Julie Beech e alla personale di Anthony Caro.

Nel 2013 ritorna in Italia e conosce il maestro Sergio Capellini che lo inserisce nel’ambiente artistico veronese, frequentando così i corsi degli artisti Matteo Cavaioni (scultura della pietra)e Iva Recchia (disegno anatomico artistico).

Biography

David Raddi was born in the province of Verona in 1978, in his childhood is attracted by the art world, frequenting a painter, writer and musician, who is a family’s relative, Zizi Morelato. Exploring painting since the age of 13, inspired by the Masters of modern art, in particular the Abstract Expressionism, Fauvism, Cubism and Symbolism. Qualifying as a surveyor in 2003 at the Institute for surveyors Cangrande della Scala of Verona, working as a surveyor for 2 years, in  2005 he move to England, where began an academic artistic education. He graduated in Art & Design in 2006 Ipswich Suffolk College(Diploma Art and Design Foundation Studies) moved to Cardiff where he graduated in 2010 (U.W.I.C. Art and Design BA (Honour) Ceramics, Cardiff University of Wales, England). During the college attends as an assistant the atelier of  Len Gifford in  Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England where approaches the figurative art world, experiencing live drawing and the making of molds of the original sculpture in  fibreglass, finishing, polishing and varnishing.

 Attends also the studio of  Pino Castagna, Costermano del Garda (VR) facing new materials and techniques,  making various sculptures in bronze, marble and terracotta.

He is also active at the “Royal British Society of Sculptors” (108 Old Brompton Road, London SW7 3RA, United Kingdom) setting up the first @ 108 Public Art Award 2013 Finalist exhibition with the artist Julie Beech, and the exhibition of  Anthony Caro .In 2013 he returned to Italy and meet Master Sergio Capellini, who introduced him to the artistic environment  of Verona, where he attended the courses of the artists Matteo Cavaioni (stone sculpting) and Iva Recchia (anatomical artistic drawing).
