Raffaella Martucci, professionally known as Marta, was born in Taranto on 1st February 1971.
She attended arts high school in Taranto, then moved to Milan to continue her studies in IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) where she majored in Graphics.
Her creativity started showing already in her teenage years. She grew her artistic strength by experimenting with various art forms: paintings, pictures, sculptures, poems and novels.
Her artistic research spans from the use of colour to the later combination of more materials and the addition of text, until the matter hidden in colour layers becomes surface, protagonist of the image itself.
Every work is colour and matter, a poetical writing enriched with chromatic shades, created through the use of recycled cardboard with the mosaic technique.
